The group is officially done with the revamp!

Now keep in mind, there are still a few little things we’ll be adding for the next few weeks, but the group has finished revamping and is now moving into the first stages of transition. What does this mean? Well going through journal by journal we’ll answer how the recent changes affect members and applicants.

HISTORY
Perhaps one of the most important aspects of figuring out how the world works, the history has been changed and condensed to a new less-than-two-pages format from its original 9 pages. While this isn’t a big change for incoming applicants, this can affect current members. We remain adamant that the concept of GHOSTS remains the same, however, the story has changed. Most current members will be able to retain the current format of their characters history is they wish, however it is suggested that all members review GHOSTS new history and compare it with their characters history.

CLASSES
As a current member, you will have noticed that 2 classes have been removed. For all members and applicants, you might have noticed that with 6 classes there are only 3 captains.
For current members who are switching from removed classes into current ones, you will follow the same process that all applicants and revamps are taking; and that is submitting a new application. You can keep your characters, but their jobs and class must change. When you have completed your character you will submit your application through notes just as you did when you applied for the group.

But if my app doesn’t get approved does that mean I get kicked? Not at all. As a current member, you are already part of the group, but your application must still be approved.

As for having 6 classes and 3 captains, it’s true, along with classes being removed some captains were removed as well. As of this current time, the 3 classes without captains will be held and taken care of by the currently available captains. This is the up-to-date line up for classes:

If you are in a class with a missing captain, you are to report to the designated captain listed above for your class. This includes for assignments listed with the missing captains for the time being.

Skills and assignments
A new point system has been added! What does this mean?
First and foremost characters can only earn points through the skill point system or events. They can also only rank with skill points.
But what if I draw my character doing a thing that has nothing to do with events or assignments? For the time being, you will no longer receive points for casual art.

But wait! How do the skills work with classes?
There will be class-exclusive skills and basic skills. This does not mean that you have to stick to one set of class skills, but you do have to complete a classpath up to sergeant before being able to start multiclassing.

Can we multi-class now?
Yes! Well, sort of. There is a mutual understanding between the mods that people, naturally, have a different and wide selection of skills. So it was decided that characters will be able to do this as well.

But what if I want to multiclass from the start?
Well… you can try. However, as the plot progresses some events will require that characters have certain skills. And since all skills will follow their own skill path, you will fall behind if you attempt to cover all of the skills available without following your classes path.

Will some event require skills? What if I don't have the skill?
Then you won’t qualify to participate in the event. Just as some jobs require you have a certain amount of experience, some events will require that your character has the experience needed for the situation in the event. Not all events will require skills, however.

DICE ROLLING SYSTEM
A new battle system has been added to the group! Based off of the DND stat system, a dumbed down easy to handle version has been created by the mods. All rolls will be assigned by the mods, which is why it is extremely important that members and applicants turn in their spreadsheets.

Ranks
This won’t directly affect many people, but some ranks have been switched around.

Useful Terms
Only some changes were made to this journal.

Rules and Rights
Some rules and rights were added concerning dice rolls. It is suggested that all current members review this information.

FAQ
This journal has been updated with new questions.

Character Creation
A new application and spreadsheet have been added.

Shop
A shop has been added! Currently, the items available are OOC, but in-character items will be added as the plot progresses.

Both written and Drawn part of the app must be finished before applying for an app check and the opening. Your application must be uploaded to your gallery. We do not accept sta.sh files. If at any point the information above changes all applicants will be notified.

Finally, an update: Due to some technical difficulties the journals were unable to be updated with current information at this time. The mods are working hard to make sure that all journals are updated before the end of the day on March 4th. It is also because of this that the mod team has decided to extend the opening to 3 weeks.

Concerning these changes here is what you will need to know for the update:
▸  Some Rules and Rights have been updated.
▸  There is a new application, a new character spreadsheet, and a new written form.
▸  A number of classes have been removed, and one has been added. The classes removed include Pugna and Liquo. The class that has been added will be thoroughly explained once the list has been updated.
▸  The history of ghosts has been shortened and changed, to make it easier for new applicants to take in. Eurosia is still the force G-HOST-S is fighting against, and G-HOST-S is still a military resistance.

When everything is updated a journal will be posted that will go through the changes and what to expect for the future.

We are super excited to announce a new Welcoming Event is coming! This will be the last time both new members and all other members will be able to participate, after this event GHOSTS will be revamping some internal systems.

The event will be held at Sunday September 17, and will start at 7PM / 19:00 GMT. More info about the event to be found in the Events Journal

All apps have finally been reviewed and the results are in! Accepted members have been sent a group invitation and a note with some basic information.Those who did sent an Opening Note but forgot to upload their app to the applicant folder will receive a submission request to the recruit folder.

Those who did not receive any of the above have not been accepted. If you'd like to know the reason why you have not been accepted, please contact the group via a note.

All journals will also soon get updates as we are changing/adding some internal and external systems. We will notify the biggest and most important changes in another Announcements Journal when all has been updated. This means the welcoming event for the new members will be delayed a little bit. A google docs survey will be set up to determine the time and date of the event next week, so keep your eyes on your inbox and the announcements channel on Discord!

We're also breaking the news that moderator @ligh-from-dark will be on a temporary hiatus. But do not fear, he will be back in the near future. Other mods will continue to take care of the group in his absence..

A new opening is approaching and we're really excited about it! Below here are some important dates for when you plan on joining:

We will be open for app checks between those dates. Remember you can always note the group with any questions or concerns you have, may you be struggling to understand parts of the world important to your character's creation.

AUG 11- AUG 20
Ready yourselves for these days, cause the official opening is happening! You will have 9 days to upload your filled out registration form with drawn application to the Applicant Folder.
We will try our best to review all apps as good and quickly as possible after this.
